Hi. My name is Shuping Lai, and I was born in Urumuqi of Xinjiang. It belongs to Northwest China. There are many minority nationalities, distinct four seasons, and beautiful mountains just like Utah. I lived in Urumuqi thirty years before I moved to Xian Medical University in 1992.

My parents retired, and there are four children in my family. I have one older brother and two older sisters. We all had received a good education and have good relationship.

When I was 17 years old, I enrolled in Xinjiang Medical University and then graduated with a bachelor degree in medicine. After that, I worked and graduated with a Ph.D. in Anthropology at Xian Medical University. I have been engaged in the past years in HLA immunogenetic research. I have explored in such areas as organ transplantation tissue typing, HLA Anthropological studies, forensic identification and HLA-related diseases as well. I very enjoyed my research field.

Of course, there are other things I enjoy including swimming, listening to classical music and traveling, and I love to play with my son. All these things can make me relax.

family Now. My husband is working at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at University of Utah, and my son is studying at Holiday Elimentory School in Salt Lake City, and I also am studying English at U of U. I need to improve my communication and writing to help me find good job.

I came from Xian City in Northwest China. This is very famous City in our country of history, and there are many aspects of Chinese traditional culture. I enjoy Chinese culture very much, and I especially enjoy celebrating Chinese New Year. I like mading this web page. As you can understand what is Chinese New Year, how is the most important celebration (holiday) in Chinese people.

Thank you for you looking at my web page.
