| Funmi Goka climbs the
ladder of success

Society big babe and one of the leading females silently
operating in the nation’s oil and gas sector Mrs. Olufunmilayo
Goka, is steadily climbing the corporate ladder of success
in her chosen career.
Pretty Goka, was recently elevated to the post of General
Manager, Public Affairs at the Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited,
from where she has been operating robustly over two decades
plus now.
Interestingly too, hard-working Goka is the first woman to
reach that enviable height in the company’s half a century
history in Nigeria.
Until her recent appointment, Goka, a trained lawyer was the
Corporate Public Affairs Division Manager of the oil giant,
and was the only female to equally attain that status.
Goka, who was called to the bar in 1987, graduated from the
prestigious University of Evansville, Evansville, Indiana
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, before
obtaining her law Degree at the University of Buckingham,
England.
We reliably gathered that with her new position, which many
of her pals and colleagues are already celebrating, Goka,
is charged with the responsibility of developing, managing,
overseeing and advising Management on the overall public affairs
policy and functions of the company, among other duties.
