Some of our short-term program teachers are Liz Cordova, Randall Davis, and Loni Manning. Read more about them below: Liz Cordova has a MA in linguistics from the University of Utah with an emphasis in TESL. She also has a BA in English and a Utah Professional Educator's License in ESL, English, and history. She is a Utah native and has taught ESL for over 10 years, primarily to adult refugees in Salt Lake City. She has also taught EFL in Mexico City. She enjoys snowshoeing (with her German Shepherd dog) and cross-country skiing in the winter. Favorite Local Activity: snowshoeing
Randall S. Davis, a graduate of Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah, USA) in Spanish Education and a M.A. in TESOL, has taught ESL for the past thirteen years in the U.S. and Japan. He lived five years in Tokyo and three years in Nagoya, Japan. Three of his children were born there, and he really enjoyed working with Japanese students. He taught at several colleges and universities including Nagoya City University, Aoyama University, Chuo University, and Yokohama Foreign Business Academy. Randall is also the creator and chef of Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab, an online listening lab featuring streaming audio and video technology, and ESL Networld, an Internet course and the home to ELI student home pages. He is also the web administrator of this site. Outside of work, Randall enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, roughing it in the outdoors, and doing family history research.

Loni Manning has been teaching ESL at the University of Utah English Language Institute for five years. Before that she taught ESL for four years in Fukui, Japan. She has a TESL/TEFL certificate and a Masters Degree in Communications. She also has a Bachelor's degree in University Studies which emphasized English, art, music, dance, and drama. Her hobbies include singing and playing the guitar, camping, hiking, painting, photography, gardening, sewing, paper and soap-making, and cooking. Loni also enjoys traveling and has been to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Canada, and most of the 50 United States including Hawaii and Alaska.
